Today marks a deeply emotional milestone—one month since our precious Lily Grace entered this world.
Her arrival was nothing short of a miracle. From the very beginning, doctors were uncertain if she would make it this far. Yet, here she is—strong, beautiful, and continuing to fight each day.
But as much as we celebrate this one-month milestone, we also write today with heavy hearts and a plea for your continued thoughts and prayers.
Recently, we had a very difficult conversation with Lily’s medical team. While she is currently breathing on her own, the doctors remain cautious. Due to the structure of her nose and the narrowness of her airway, they are hesitant to remove her breathing tube. There is a very real concern that she may require a tracheostomy and ongoing ventilator support.
Even more concerning is that Lily has begun experiencing frequent small seizures. Sometimes, during these episodes, she forgets to breathe entirely. These seizures have been challenging to manage and are clearly causing her discomfort.
Right now, we are facing one of the hardest decisions any parent could imagine—whether to proceed with a complex surgery or to consider letting her go peacefully.
We are holding onto hope. We’re praying deeply and asking for everyone reading this to join us in those prayers—that if it is part of a greater plan, Lily will soon breathe freely on her own, and her seizures will become more manageable.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, your strength, and your prayers. Please keep our sweet Lily Grace in your thoughts.
