The Doctors Said It Didn’t Look Good. Then God Stepped In.

<p class&equals;"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start">« My son&comma; John Hart&comma; was diagnosed with COVID a few weeks ago&period; The day after he was diagnosed&comma; he coded at home&period; He went without a pulse for almost 40 minutes&period; I &lpar;mama&rpar; did the first ten minutes of chest compressions while my husband sped us to the ER&period; After almost 30 minutes of coding him in the ER&comma; one of the doctors told me&comma; &lsquo&semi;It doesn’t look good&period;&rsquo&semi; And almost as soon as she said this they found a pulse&excl;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p class&equals;"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start">When we got to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit&comma; the doctor told us that he was very worried about his neuro status and how the code impacted his brain&period; Anybody who goes without oxygen for 40 minutes wouldn&rsquo&semi;t have a great chance of successful survival&period; He told us the next few hours would reveal a lot&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p class&equals;"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start">Later we were told that he may have liver damage&comma; but that only time would tell&period; A few days later we were told they were NOT concerned about his liver anymore because his numbers decreased drastically and were headed in the right direction&excl; So no organ damage&excl;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p class&equals;"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start">John Hart&rsquo&semi;s brain damage was a big concern after 40 minutes of being lifeless&period; In response&comma; the Lord sent a Neurologist to tell us that the damage most definitely could have been worse and there were meds to help with the symptoms he may have&excl; Look at God go&excl;&excl;&excl;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p class&equals;"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start">As scary as this has been&comma; the Lord has shown himself faithful through every step&excl; What we know is that my baby has no organ damage&comma; his brain damage is less severe than anyone expected&comma; therapies and meds should help with some of the brain damage that he does have&comma; his heart has been beating on its own&comma; his temperature regulation is back to normal&comma; and although he’s a little more stiff movement-wise and his eyes have some work to do&comma; his personality is 100&percnt; our sweet John Hart&excl; God is not finished with our sweet boy&period; » ❤️❤️❤️❤️<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p class&equals;"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start">Credit&colon; Marie R&period; Harness<&sol;p>&NewLine;
